Chinese BEV passenger car brands are focussing their attention on the Western European market, shown by almost every twelfth (7.9%) of new BEVs coming from China. This results in the first model from a Chinese manufacturer making it into the region’s top 5 BEV passenger car registration list.
This development is also supported by the European ‘Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation’ that sets charging infrastructure goals to meet future higher plug-in car uptakes from 2025 onwards with fast recharging stations to be positioned every 60km along the EU’s main transport corridors.
